Capital Facilities Regional Manager 1

The Capital Facilities Regional Manager 1 will be responsible for assisting in directing the capital programs of the Mid-State District which includes the Finger Lakes, Central and Thousand Islands Regions. The selected candidate will report to the District Manager. The Capital Facilities Regional Manager 1 provides administrative and technical direction in the areas of planning, design and construction of approximately $20 million dollars of capital projects and supervises technical staff in the District. Duties include but are not limited to:
o Assign staff according to expertise and the priority and schedule of capital projects, including coordinating staff resources when necessary. o Managing and implementing the master plan and the long-term capital plan; and preparing and managing the capital budget. o Assuring the overall capital budget is implemented properly within prescribed limits and that budget resources are shared when necessary. o Monitor work performed by consultants and contractors to ensure it is consistent with agreed upon contracts and plans; oversee the bidding process, including the preparation, bidding, award, and administration of contracts. o Coordinate survey, environmental impact assessment, and easement activities. o Prepare and review technical and administrative reports. o Provide capital program planning, budget and project status reports upon request and participate in agency-wide Capital program conference calls, meetings, and training programs. o Periodically conduct proposed project presentations for agency executive staff for Albany design review. o Meet regularly with regional staff to solicit capital needs requests and review project plans prior to project implementation.

Salary Range:
From $101403 to $128142 Annually
Minimum Qualification
For Permanent Appointment:
All candidates must be reachable on an appropriate active Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for 52.5 transfer. Eligible for 52.6 transfer (i.e. must have at least one year of permanent competitive service in a 52.6 eligible title allocated to salary grade 27 or above). Candidates must possess a New York State license as a Professional Engineer or New York State registration as an Associate Architect or Landscape Architect. For Provisional Appointment :
Candidates must possess New York State license and current registration as a professional engineer, professional landscape architect, or professional architect; and five years of professional experience in engineering, landscape architecture, or architecture; which included the design and construction of parks and recreation facilities. This experience must include two years of supervisory experience. OR Promotion for New York State Employees - You must be a qualified employee of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation and have a New York State license and current registration as a professional engineer, professional architect, or professional landscape architect; AND one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55c service as a Professional Engineer 1 (Civil), Professional Engineer 2 (Civil), Professional Engineer 1 (Electrical), Senior Landscape Architect, Associate Landscape Architect, Associate Architect or a Senior Architect. Candidates appointed on a provisional basis must take the next holding of the Capital Facilities Regional Manager 1 exam, pass the exam, and be reachable on the resulting eligible list to continue appointment in the Capital Facilities Regional Manager 1 position.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
